Italian Per Lui (1982-1991) was one of the most forward fashion magazines of the eighties, a Condé Nast publication edited by Franca Sozzani for young men. Per Lui was the counterpart of Lei Magazine, founded in 1980.

Franca Sozzani got to work with a whole roster of young photographeres who later would become the biggest new stars of fashion photography: Steven Meisel, Bruce Weber, Herb Ritts, Mario Testino, Peter Lindbergh, Tony Viramontes, Patrick Demarchelier, Koto Bolofo, Michel Comte, Pamela Hanson and many more.
